It all started in restaurants . . .

Vine Cycle Wine Selections® founder, Christopher Corrao, worked his way into the wine business by way of the hospitality industry, starting in restaurants when he was first old enough to work. 

Beginning on the East Coast and then moving to Aspen, Colorado, Chris became part of the opening team of Ajax Tavern – working with Chefs Nicholas Morfogen & Michael Chiarello. From there, he went to Napa Valley to work at Tra Vigne in Saint Helena.  Chris stayed on the West Coast and moved to San Francisco to help the owners of Fog City Diner open restaurants and run their beverage programs. When he made his way back to the East Coast, Chris became General Manager of The Red Cat in New York City, with Chef Jimmy Bradley whom he had met years before in Colorado. His love for wine was born in the cellars and dining rooms of these renowned establishments.

In 2000, Chris began his career in wine distribution, working with icon wineries from around the world, as well as small, thoughtful producers. After starting his career on the street, he was Team and Brand Manager at Martin Scott Wines.  After 16 years Chris decided to explore other areas and educational opportunities within the industry in positions as NY State Sales Manager and US Trade Marketing Manager for wines in Italy, France & the United States.  From his long history in the hospitality industry Chris knows that customer service, education, and attention to detail are tantamount to a successful business.  

Currently Chris has his certification from the WSET III and is pursuing the diploma course.

All along his journey, Chris has been an avid skier and cyclist.
